The Meals that Made Me
Tasked with the challenge of creating promotional material for First We Feast's latest podcast, The Meals that Made Me, I was provided with a comprehensive style guide by the promotion team at Complex Networks. This guide encompassed fonts, textures, and icons, serving as the foundation for the visual identity of the project. Leveraging these elements, I embarked on designing storyboards for a typography-based trailer—a creative endeavor aimed at both explaining and enticing viewers to tune in.
The narration for the trailer, delivered by the podcast host, Adam Richman, exuded a punchy and exciting energy. To align with this dynamic voiceover, the design and animation of the trailer demanded a corresponding vibrancy. Collaborating with the promotional team, I ensured that the visual elements not only complemented but also enhanced the lively and engaging tone of the narration.
This project not only involved the meticulous application of a provided style guide but also required a keen understanding of storytelling through typography and animation. The result was a compelling trailer that not only informed but captivated audiences, setting the stage for a successful promotion of The Meals that Made Me.
